Phases of the ideal protein diet:-
The ideal protein diet is based on 4 phases in total. Each phase has different things to do. In each phase, prepackaged foods, supplements, and powders are to be taken.
Phase 1 is the most difficult and strictest phase for the dieters. In this phase, a dieter must achieve 90% of their weight loss. During this phase, dieters are asked to eat ideal protein breakfast, an ideal protein lunch (2 cups of selected vegetables), 8-ounce portion of protein with selected vegetables, and an ideal protein snack. You can also take unlimited raw vegetables.
Supplements are also to be taken with the ideal protein meals. 1 multivitamin and 1 potassium supplement in breakfast. 1 multivitamin, 2 calcium-magnesium supplements, and 2 omega-3 supplements in dinner. 2 calcium-magnesium supplements with snacks. 1–2 digestive enzyme supplements with all meals. 2 antioxidant supplements and 1/4 teaspoon of Ideal Salt once daily.
Phase 2 is 14 days longer. This phase arrives when you achieve your goal of 90%. In this phase, you take two Ideal Protein foods of your choice. 8 oz. servings of protein for both lunch and dinner. Four cups of approved vegetables and again unlimited raw vegetables. Supplements for phase 2 are the same as phase 1.
Phase 3 is also 14 days long like phase 2. It is called the pre stabilization phase. In comparison with phases 1 and 2, this diet is easier as it reintroduces carbs. This phase includes fat, protein, and carbs, and also, you do not need to take potassium supplements with the morning meal. You have to take Whole-grain/sugar-free cereal with fruit for breakfast. 5 ounces of lean meat or poultry, green vegetables, a small amount of olive oil, and 1.5 ounces of lean dairy for lunch and dinner. Unlimited approved raw vegetables have to be taken as well.
Phase 4 is the last phase of the ideal protein diet and it is called the maintenance phase which lasts for about 12 months. In this phase, you just have to maintain your diet and limit the combination of fats and carbs. You also get one day in a week to eat a meal of your choice which is restricted during the ideal protein diet.
